A mechanical articulated play object made from linked metal segments. Fold it compact, extend it outward, build a new shape and change it again whenever your hands want something to explore.

Link is built around connected segments rather than a fixed body. Every joint changes the relationship between the pieces, giving you a new shape every time you move it.
Bring it together.
Rotate the linked sections inward and compress Link into a compact form.
Open the structure.
Unfold each joint individually and stretch the shape outward.
Find a new geometry.
Rotate different joints until the segments form a shape you like.
Change it.
Then change it again.
There is no final configuration. The object is designed to keep moving.
The shape isn't finished.

Movement at

Start with any segment.
Grip one section while holding the neighboring section with another finger.
Rotate the joint.
Move the connected segment through its available range.
Position the next segment.
Adjust another joint and continue building the form.
Reconfigure whenever you want.
Fold it back down or keep exploring another arrangement.
Friction gives movement somewhere to stay.
Each metal segment is connected through a pivot joint. Controlled friction inside the joint resists free movement, allowing the segment to rotate when you apply force while helping it remain in position after you let go.

What exactly is Link?
Link is a mechanical articulated play object made from multiple connected metal segments. Each section can rotate around its joint, allowing the overall object to change shape.
Do the joints move freely?
Link is designed around controlled joint resistance rather than completely loose movement. This gives the structure a more deliberate tactile feel and helps each segment remain where you position it.
Is there a correct shape?
No. Link is intentionally open-ended. Fold it compact, extend it, build a wave or explore your own configurations.
Can it fold down for carrying?
Yes. The articulated structure is designed to fold into a more compact arrangement when you want to store or carry it.
Does Link require batteries?
No. Link is entirely mechanical and requires no battery, charging cable, motor or app.
Is Link meant to stand on a desk?
Some configurations can create small sculptural desk forms, while others are better suited to handheld play.
