Keep Helix upright with one hand and rest your other hand on the top ring.
Twist the top.
Rotate the control ring and begin moving the internal helical track.
Watch the ball travel.
The steel ball follows the spiral track around the central core as it moves vertically.
Reverse and reset.
Turn in the opposite direction and guide the ball back toward its starting point.
Rotation guides linear movement.
The outer control drives a helical path around the central core. As the track rotates, the ball is constrained by that path, so rotational input becomes controlled movement up or down the cylinder.

What exactly is Helix?
Helix is a mechanical play object containing a steel ball and a spiral track around a central core. Turning the top control guides the ball through the helix.
How do you control the ball?
Rotate the top ring with your fingers. The internal track responds to that rotation and guides the ball upward or downward.
Can I reverse the movement?
Yes. Change the direction of your rotation to reverse the ball's travel through the spiral.
Does Helix use batteries?
No. Helix is completely mechanical and requires no battery, charging cable, motor or app.
Is the steel ball removable?
The moving ball is designed to remain inside the enclosed mechanical track during normal use.
How is Helix different from Drop?
Drop uses gravity to move a ball through a fixed path. Helix gives you direct control: your twisting movement drives the spiral mechanism and determines the direction of the ball.
