Inside Index, a spring applies pressure to a precision detent element. As the dial rotates, that element moves between indexed positions. Each time it settles into the next position, you feel the mechanical click.

What exactly is Index?
Index is a mechanical rotary play object with defined detent positions. Each time you turn the dial into the next position, the internal mechanism creates tactile feedback.
Does the dial spin freely?
No. Index is intentionally designed around defined mechanical positions rather than completely free rotation.
Can it turn both directions?
Yes. The dial can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise so you can create your own tactile rhythm.
Does it require batteries?
No. Index is completely mechanical and requires no battery, charging cable, motor or app.
Is Index a functional control dial?
Index is designed as a tactile mechanical play object. It is not an electronic volume controller or computer input device.
How is Index different from Pulse?
Pulse explores vertical compression and spring rebound. Index explores rotary movement, indexed positions and tactile detents.
