Meet
Index.
A mechanical detent dial built around precise rotation. Turn the dial one position at a time, feel each mechanical click, and keep moving at your own pace.
EVERY POSITION HAS A FEEL
Turn the dial.
Feel every click.
Index replaces empty rotation with deliberate feedback. Each mechanical position gives your fingers a distinct beginning, middle and end.
Texture where it matters.
A finely knurled outer ring gives your fingers a secure surface for controlled rotation.
Move one position.
Rotate slowly or continuously in either direction.
Feel the mechanism engage.
Each indexed position produces a crisp mechanical detent.
One click.
Then another.
There is no destination. The interaction is the point.
Smooth enough to turn.
Defined enough to
feel every step.
SEE THE RHYTHM
Not just rotation.
Indexed rotation.
TURN / FEEL / INDEX / REPEAT
Simple outside.
Precise inside.
Place your fingers on the ring.
Use the knurled edge for grip and natural fingertip control.
Begin turning.
Rotate clockwise or counterclockwise at whatever pace feels natural.
Feel each detent.
The internal mechanism engages at each indexed position.
Keep turning.
Move one click at a time or create your own repeating rhythm.
A spring-loaded detent creates each click.
Inside Index, a spring applies pressure to a precision detent element. As the dial rotates, that element moves between indexed positions. Each time it settles into the next position, you feel the mechanical click.
ONE DIAL / DIFFERENT RHYTHMS
Turn it
your way.
Single Click
Move exactly one detent at a time and focus on each individual position.
Slow Sweep
Rotate continuously and feel each click pass beneath your fingers.
Back & Forth
Reverse direction whenever you want and build a repeating tactile rhythm.
No screen.
No score.
Just
one more click.
MADE TO STAY WITHIN REACH
Small dial.
Serious presence.
Index is designed to work as a tactile object when your hands want something to do and as a refined desk object when they don't.
OBJECT 012 / DETAILS
Designed for
the fingertips.
TAP TO EXPLORE
Still curious?
What exactly is Index?
Index is a mechanical rotary play object with defined detent positions. Each time you turn the dial into the next position, the internal mechanism creates tactile feedback.
Does the dial spin freely?
No. Index is intentionally designed around defined mechanical positions rather than completely free rotation.
Can it turn both directions?
Yes. The dial can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise so you can create your own tactile rhythm.
Does it require batteries?
No. Index is completely mechanical and requires no battery, charging cable, motor or app.
Is Index a functional control dial?
Index is designed as a tactile mechanical play object. It is not an electronic volume controller or computer input device.
How is Index different from Pulse?
Pulse explores vertical compression and spring rebound. Index explores rotary movement, indexed positions and tactile detents.
How does Index fit the Delverique™ collection?
Each Delverique™ object explores a different physical interaction. Loop flips, Shift slides, Drop falls, Orbit rolls, Stack balances, Snap reconnects, Ripple creates waves, Balance explores equilibrium, Helix spirals, Pulse compresses, Arc tilts and rolls, and Index explores rotary detent feedback.
DELVERIQUE™
Play isn't childish.
We believe curiosity does not disappear when we grow up. We simply expect more from the objects we choose to touch every day.
Delverique™ creates modern physical play objects built around simple actions — turning, pressing, balancing, sliding, rolling and moving.
Less scrolling. More touching. More noticing. More interaction with something real.
